any of a group of acids produced by the combination of tungstic trioxide, WO3, with water; specif., the monohydrate acid, H2WO4 noun: a hydrate of tungsten trioxide, H2WO4⋅H2O, used in the manufacture of tungsten-lamp filaments tungstic acid in British English noun: any of various oxyacids of tungsten obtained by neutralizing alkaline solutions of tungstates.
