any of three isomeric alcohols, C10H17OH, with a lilac odor, found in certain volatile oils and used in perfumes noun: any of several unsaturated, cyclic, tertiary alcohols having the formula C10H18 O, occurring in nature in many essential oils or prepared synthetically: used chiefly in the manufacture of perfumes terpineol in British English noun: a terpene alcohol with an odour of lilac, present in several essential oils.
