designating or of a large subfamily of the Niger-Kordofanian language family, covering much of sub-Saharan Africa and including the Bantu, Kwa, and Voltaic branches adjective: of, belonging to, or constituting Niger-Congo adjective: relating to or belonging to this family of languages noun: a family of languages of Africa consisting of the Bantu languages together with most of the languages of the coastal regions of West Africa.
