a broad, flat-topped cluster of flowers in which the outer flower stalks are long and those toward the center progressively shorter, as in the candytuft noun: a form of inflorescence in which the flowers form a flat-topped or convex cluster, the outermost flowers being the first to open corymb in British English noun: an inflorescence in the form of a flat-topped flower cluster with the oldest flowers at the periphery.
